New Spanish Language Program for the Construction Industry
To Be Released on Cinco de Mayo
Orem, UT – Thanks to the support of UDOT’s Civil Rights Office and in partnership with the Associated General Contractors of Utah, Daily Dose Learning Systems will release “Construction Spanish for Supervisors” on Cinco de Mayo of this year (May 5th, 2010).
This easy-to-learn conversational Spanish program will enable foremen, superintendents, and supervisors, who work with Spanish-speakers in the construction industry, to improve safety, teamwork, and communication in the workplace.
Construction Spanish for Supervisors will combine the best of two worlds: Flexible self-study to accommodate busy schedules and dynamic group practice to increase retention and facilitate conversation. The program is fun, simple, and can be used while on-the-go. It includes colorful posters, audio CD’s, a pocket dictionary, and an MP3 player pre-loaded with audio exercises.
Supervisors will quickly learn how to communicate in Spanish regarding Job Instructions, Safety Standards, Handling Emergencies, Using Power Tools, Working around Heavy Machinery, Being Punctual, and more.
Rich Thorn, President & CEO of the Associated General Contractors of Utah, commented: “There is a great need in any industry to improve communication in the workplace. Daily Dose Learning Systems has done an outstanding job at creating an easy-to-use tool that will help bridge language and cultural gaps in the construction industry.”
Members of the construction industry can request Construction Spanish for Supervisors directly through their local Associated General Contractors chapter. Also, members of the AGC may pre-purchase online for a savings of $50 now through May 5, 2010 (available online at www.dailydoselearning.com/construction).
